REVENUE TOWER

Revenue Tower Changanacherry is an imposing landmark building located in the heart of Chanaganacherry, the land of traditional business and land of five lamps(Anchu Velaku).
The Changanacherry Revenue Tower was Inaguarated on March 26 2001 by P.J Joseph and since then has become the most prestigious building on Chanaganacherry's skyline. The Tower stands 50 metres high and is one of the tallest buildings in the region.

INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
It is located opposite Veroor St. Joseph's church which is to the East of the town. This industry has 33 buildings and is one of the best running industrial organizations in Kerala.

CANARA PAPER MILLS - CHETHIPUZHA

Canara Paper Mills is situated around 3 kms East of the town and near the 'Kurishummoodu Junction'. It was instituted in 1980 and the area covers 3 acres. The factory is known for its high quality of packing paper for paper bags. 200 tons of packing paper is produced every month and dispatched to different parts of the country. The factory employs nearly 100 workers.

COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES
From the beginning itself Changanacherry stands at the frontline in the commercial affairs of the state. The Market of Changanacherry was inaugurated by Veluthampy Dalava by exchanging an elephant in 1805. Now this market is a well-known market in Kerala and is the best attended in all of North Travancore. The chief trade is in rice, pepper, dry ginger, areca nuts and piece goods. The town was formerly the capital of the Thekkumkur principality.
